Tommy B’s Clubhouse located at 210 Aberdeen Dr. Suite B is a bar and restaurant open 7 days a week.  They offer appetizers and small plates with a spin, sandwiches, burgers, and dinners.  The restaurant also has a full-bar.  This is a great establishment to unwind after a long day.

The Abbey located at 3158 Indiana 2 Valparaiso, IN is also at the entrance of Aberdeen. This restaurant bar is more fine dining and features a full bar.  They also have wine and beer tasting events throughout the year.  This is a nice, cozy restaurant with an upscale atmosphere.

Crime & Safety

Aberdeen is in Valparaiso, IN which was ranked as the 11th safest city in Indiana by Safewise.com.  Additionally, the Aberdeen development is an above average socioeconomic area attracting residents of the same.  Higher socioeconomic areas have even lower crime rates. Middle school aged students attend Benjamin Franklin Middle School located at 605 N. Campbell St. Valparaiso, IN 46385, about 10 minutes away from Aberdeen.  High school students attend Valparaiso High School located at 2727 N. Campbell St. Valparaiso, IN 46385 about 12 minutes away from Abderdeen.

Transportation

Public transportation throughout Northwest Indiana is limited.  However, Aberdeen is nearby some options.  Aberdeen is about 16 minutes from the Dune Park SOuth SHore Line train station which can take you to Chicago.  Valparaiso also operates the Chicago Dash bus line.  The station for the Chicago Dash is about 7 minutes from Aberdeen.

There are many highways and interstates to help Northwest Indiana residents make their way to Chicago or other parts of the region.

As a mixed use community, Aberdeen is a great community for many types of people.  It truly is.  There are many families with children living in Aberdeen.  However, with the smaller homes with small yards located in a section of Aberdeen senior citizens seeking to rightsize their living arrangements should consider Aberdeen.  The same is true with the condos available in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen offers its residents a lot of opportunities.  The pool, golf course, inclusion of a great school district, proximity to Valparaiso, and restaurants within the neighborhood make Aberdeen unique to the area and attractive to the lives of many people.
