Also, many of the trees were preserved as the homes were developed. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful.

Residents can get to the on-ramp for the Indiana Toll-Road in about less than 10 minutes and get on I-94 in about 12 minutes. The neighborhood is less than 15 minutes from a South Shore Commuter Line train station. No public transportation service is available in the Whitethorne Woods neighborhood.
