The Dravininkas neighborhood of Valparaiso, Indiana is right in the heart of the city. This area developed over several decades and has a diverse abundance of housing options. The Dravininkas neighborhood is close to shopping, parks, schools, and overall is a great place to live in Valparaiso.

Many businesses exist in Valparaiso as well as in other nearby cities like Chesterton, Portage, Merrillville, Michigan City, and Crown Point to name a few. Secondly, Valparaiso is a 20 minute commute from many of the major manufacturing sites and steel mills along the Lake Michigan shore. Lastly, Valparaiso residents can commute to Chicago, IL. Chicago is only about 65 minutes from Valparaiso, IN.
Children living in NN attend school with Valparaiso Community Schools. In its most recent survey by the Indiana Department of Education Valparaiso Community Schools was the recipient of the distinguished ‘A’ Grade. Valparaiso Community Schools serves over 6,000 students living in the Valparaiso area. The school district is a high-performing school district and offers students many opportunities to excel in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities.
Valparaiso does offer its residents several transportation options. Valparaiso’s public bus system is known as the V-Line. The bus service has four routes which run throughout the daytime hours and into the evening. Additionally, Valparaiso is located 15 minutes from a South Shore Line train station. Valparaiso also has the ChicaGo Dash bus service. This bus service runs a bus from downtown Valparaiso to Downtown Chicago each morning and from Chicago to Valparaiso each evening. Uber and Lyft are available in Valparaiso, too.
The Dravininkas neighborhood is located centrally in Valparaiso. Residents can easily reach anywhere in Valparaiso in about ten minutes. Additionally, the neighborhood is located closer to arterial roads including Meridian Rd., Evans Ave., Calumet Ave. and State Road 49.
