Kingsbury is a town of about 250 people located at the intersections of U.S. Routes 6 and 35. The town is about six miles directly south of La Porte, Indiana. The town grew up around the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant which produced weaponry for the American war effort during World War II. The plant was decommissioned at the end of the war. The town is surrounded by farmland.
