Sagamore’s development started in the early 2010s.  The neighborhood is served by Union Township Schools.  Sagamore was built in phases, and the final phase is completing construction now.  The homes in Sagamore are above average for the area.  Upon completion there will be about 50 homes in Sagamore.  As of this writing, Sagamore is about 85% complete.  The subdivision is in a great spot on the southwest side of Valparaiso and is built in an area surrounded by tall, mature trees.

Residents of Sagamore will need a car.  There is not public transportation in Northwest Indiana.

Sagamore is about 20 minutes from the closest South Shore Commuter Line train station.  The South Shore Commuter Line makes numerous daily stops in nearby Portage and Chesterton.  The train goes to Chicago and South Bend several times a day.

Sagamore lies along U.S. 30 and is close to interstates 65, 94, 80, and 90.

Sagamore Is Best For…

Really, Sagamore would be a great subdivision for many people.  Families with young children may find it slightly less appealing.  There are no amenities like playgrounds in the subdivision.  Additionally, driving to a park can take some time, too.  Also, with just 50 homes in the subdivision meeting other young families could be challenging.
